Most clubs are run by volunteers in their spare time. The draw is on Facebook, subs are tracked in a spreadsheet, and news goes out through three group chats and an email. People miss things because there’s no one place to look, not because they don’t care. Able2 gives your club its own app, with your name and logo on it. A ground change or a late cancellation goes up on Facebook and out by email. That’s the right thing to do. But people only see a post or an email when they go looking, and on a busy Saturday morning a few families always miss it and turn up anyway.
Send a notification from your club’s app and it pops up on members’ phones straight away. Choose who gets it, like one team or one age group, and you’ll see how many people it will reach before you send. You can also schedule reminders ahead, like the training change you’d otherwise forget to send.
Know who’s playing before game day

Most weeks it works out. But someone’s running late, someone’s sick and forgot to say, and the coach doesn’t know whether to wait or reshuffle the team. It’s not a disaster, just stress at kick-off that nobody needed.
Add training and games as events, and members tap to say they’re coming. The coach sees who’s in before game day, and if someone’s running late, one message in the team’s group reaches everyone at once. On the day, check people in so you know who’s actually there. If the registrar wants a spreadsheet, export the list.
Nobody minds a late change. It’s finding out at kick-off that causes the stress.
Give every coach the tools for a great season

Volunteer coaches are gold. Most get a team list and training times, and work the rest out as they go. The club’s session plans and coaching tips are out there somewhere, but a new coach doesn’t know where to look or who to ask.
Put training guides, session plans and drill videos in the app’s library, so every coach has them on their phone at training. Give your coaches their own private group to swap ideas and ask “half my team is away, what do I run tonight?” without every parent watching. You can also turn your induction into a short course, with videos and a certificate at the end.
Collect it once and keep it safe

Registration, uniform sizes, medical notes, photo consent. Paper forms get handed out at sign-on, typed into a spreadsheet and filed somewhere. Next year, it all starts again.
Send a form as a link that families fill in on their phone, or let members fill it in inside the app. Each form link has a QR code you can download and print on a poster at sign-on, so families scan it and fill it in there and then. Answers are saved with the member who filled them in, so nothing gets lost when a volunteer moves on. Need a new question next season? Change the form once and every family gets the new version.

Make paying subs easy

Subs are rarely about the money. It’s texting people you’ll see at Saturday sport about forty dollars, and nobody enjoys doing that. So the reminders tend to stop after the third one, and the gap shows up at the June meeting.
Send one reminder to the whole club with a deadline and a payment link, instead of four awkward texts to friends. Members pay on their phone, and the money is deposited directly into the club’s account. Able2 charges a 2% platform fee on payments. The same setup handles fundraiser tickets, uniforms from the shop and paid holiday clinics as bookings, each with its own page you can put on a poster.
When we are not the right answer
Worth saying plainly, because signing up for the wrong reason helps nobody and we would rather you knew now.
- You’re one team and everyone’s already in the same group chat. If it works and nothing gets missed, you don’t need us. Come back when you grow to four teams and a committee.
- Nobody can find your club. That’s a website problem. An app doesn’t help someone who has never heard of you. Build your website first, then show it as a tab in the app so you only keep one copy up to date.
- You need help with the books and the minutes. Accounting, agendas, official registers and the treasurer’s year end need proper club admin software, and we don’t do that. We help you collect the money into your Stripe account; we don’t balance the books.
- You want to design every screen yourself. Able2 is made of finished parts you can set up in lots of ways, not a blank page. If you need full control over every layout, a custom-built app is the better fit.
